Man this is nasty. So basically get 3 crits then reload pop buffs and shoot for the chest? I have been wanting to do a sniping build and this looks perfect. When did you start seeing 1 billion hits?
Yes exactly like that, i saw the first billion quite early in the 50´s but i also had a Pyro in my team back then... i cant realy tell when exactly it happened solo... maybe already in the early 60´s. **Oh and you need to be fast because some Buffs through abilities or mods already start to run out after like 5 seconds**. For some reason this kind of dmg only appears by the Boss enemies, against elites its mostly 2-400mill at best for some reason. Its fluctuating pretty hard. But in the end you dont need that much, Arbiter has like 600 or 700mill HP and Okriel like 300mil (or smt?) HP.

I will later make an online build and post it here. But basically i stuffed every T3 in my armour that raises FP and or AP. But the most part comes from **Charged Shot** skill (+200%dmg on first shot in Mag) and **Headbanger** Mod (+180%dmg on first shot in mag after hitting 3 crits =3x60%) both with 5s cooldown. You also benefit from 40% from AP through the T2 mod "Anomaly Enhancement" in the gun. The other mods are % Element mods for Toxin, Ice and elite.
Ironically, i needed to nerf my current boss-killer-sniper by unequipping “Mages Rage” so i won't deal to much dmg to Okriel in the first phase. I changed it to “Embalmer's Rage” (after first crit all following are critical for 3s) makes it more convenient because you don't have to aim for the head all the time and risking to lose your Headbanger buff. 2nd mod is "Anomaly Enhancement" (40%AP to FP) and the 3rd is "Brain-eater"(crits don't use ammo) so you wont have to reload multible time with your 1( in this case 2) round sniper and are forced to wait for the cooldown of Charged Shot. Like this, you get both buffs at the same time with one reload.

You welcome, i hope you will find the right gear fast. Yeah Cold Snap**(+ T3 Icicle Storm)** deals mostly with the smaller enemies, thanks to **Lethal Device Pax note** turns C.S. into a mini-nuke since it not only afflicts **Ice** but also **Toxin** and therefore **Vulnerability** as well. Often they just proc to death but when there is a huge frozen crowd i often just shoot at them to initiate the chain-reaction just to speed things up. The armor has also a fair amount of **Ability Cooldown reduction** so you can use Cold Snap like every \~10s. If you have "**Mages Rages"** on a gun you AP can grow into the millions which increase the Toxin procs from 100k-900k. My method was for a time to looking for corridors to bottleneck the enemie-streams but since the Toxin/Heal become so strong i started to ignore the mobs at some point. I regularly move just direct to the elites, drop a Cold Snap as soon its ready and the majority of the Mobs just dies passively. Yeah sometimes there are some leftover which you need to hunt down but overall add-clear become pretty chill.
Sidenote: After the balance update the Toxin procs aren't that potent anymore, i mean it still works, but notice it takes a little bit longer to add-clear now. The Silverline is, i have the feeling the sniper shots become slightly stronger. I had a 1.1bil hit against Okriel yesterday and also a few Elites one-shotes instead of two-shots. I guess that comes from the Skill-damage Node increase.=)
Ok cool so a bit slower on add clear but faster on boss kills it seems. The boss kills are already crazy fast though right?
This game, more than most looter/shooters I have played, very much rewards aggressive play. I always find that pushing forward is the best plan and most builds tend to support the wide and extensive application of damage that supports that playstyle. That said, I like the notion of this build but how does it play out in a group setting? It seems you would be fighting to get your buffs before someone else roasted/smashed/melted your targets?
Before i changed to "Lethal Devises" i was forced to play in groups since i needed the CC of my teammates but the Damage i dished out was competitive to other strong players sometimes even the highest. Feels nice when you can help a Teammate who gets harassed by a Elite or Broodmother and just kill it half over the map.\^\^ Yeah it works both solo and teamplay. The only problem in team-play is Okriel since everybody is shooting at him which makes the one shot a bit difficult.
This is genuinely amazing with that find for bossing. I started work on a sniper build yesterday and found while it can deal with bosses, it's not as quick as others. +2 Arby was down in conventional methods in 90seconds or less. That charged gunshot method is absolute genius 🙂 I might have to incorporate into my own build and give it a go.

I think i keep the armor now like it is and only waiting for the perfect sniper mods/stats just as fine-tuning. But in my opinion the absolut best for me would be **Armorpierce,Ability leech, Long Range dmg** and Mods\*\*: T1 First Things First, T2 Anomaly Enhancement, T3 Mages Rage\*\*. But only RNGesus knows when that will finally drop...
At apoc 40, you cannot randomly crit without mods / ascension node
If i remember correctly, you have a base 5% Critchance from the start. With ascension node you can raise that to 10% thats why i wont max it in this build. But i have Lv01 Storage character laying arround and can check its stats again to go sure, but honestly im quite sure it has a base value.
Apoc 40 reduces crit chance by 5%.
OH now i get it, its a malus. Sry i didnt fully read through the apoc-Bonus&Malus window other than the dropchance\^\^. Well thx for the info.
Does it still working after last patch?
Yes, the sniper shots do actual a little bit more damage but the add-clear takes a bit longer since the toxin procs from coldsnap(+lethal device) arent that potend anymore. But overall it still works.
